Program Description
The course aims to develop Chinese language skills and musical competence by learning about Chinese music. Students will learn to play Chinese traditional instruments such as the guqin, pipa and yueqin. They will also learn to read Chinese notation and to play Western-style music accompaniments. An introduction to the history of Chinese music will be included.
