Earth Sciences (Foundation) (1+3)

The University of Liverpool's Department of Earth Sciences (EPS) is a world-class centre for research and teaching in the Earth Sciences, with a reputation for excellence in environmental science, engineering and geology. We are one of the largest earth science departments in the UK with more than 300 years of academic history. Our foundation degree in earth sciences is the first of its kind in the UK and provides students with the opportunity to study a subject that will set them on the path to a successful career in the environmental sciences. The course is designed for those who have an interest in the Earth sciences but are not sure what to choose as a career. The course provides the first experience of a range of disciplines such as geology, geophysics and sedimentary geology, and also includes the study of the physical sciences.
