South Asian Studies

The University of Edinburgh offers a postgraduate degree in South Asian Studies. This program develops critical reflection on the history and culture of South Asia, and looks at the role of religion, gender and language in the formation of identities. The degree also gives detailed knowledge of the South Asian diaspora in the UK and Europe. Students are trained to conduct research on South Asian communities in Scotland and on-line.
