The Department of Astrophysics is the leading centre for research and investigation in the field of astronomy and astrophysics. The department offers two undergraduate degrees: BSc Astronomy and BSc Astrophysics. The BSc Astrophysics degree is designed to meet the needs of those wishing to prepare for a career in Astronomy or Astrophysics. The BSc Astronomy degree is for those wishing to study for a career in astronomy, either in a research or teaching capacity.
