Civil Engineering (Structural)

The award of the Civil Engineering (Structural) Degree demonstrates the University's commitment to the field of civil structure engineering, which has been defined as "the application of knowledge, skills and technology to the construction, maintenance and management of structures, including buildings, bridges, dams and tunnels". The University of Newcastle is an international leading university and is the first university in the UK to be granted Degree-Grinding Powers for this subject.
