Criminology and Criminal Justice

The Department of Criminology & Criminal Justice at Bangor University was the first in the UK to receive a teaching award from the Association of School of Criminal Justice. Criminology is a very wide-ranging discipline that touches on so many aspects of society that its study is not only of great interest to those who teach it, but also to those who work in law, politics, and other related fields. Criminologists examine the causes of crime and violence, and how these are tackled from a range of perspectives.
