The Master of Arts in Women's Studies at the University of York is a unique and interdisciplinary program that gives students an advanced understanding of gender, sexuality, race, and class as they relate to women's lives. This two-year degree provides students with a comprehensive education in topics such as feminist theory, history, psychology, sociology, and political science. Students will also have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through research projects or field placements in areas such as healthcare, law enforcement, government agencies, or non-profit organizations. Graduates from this program will be well equipped for careers across multiple sectors including politics & policy; public service; media & communications; business consulting; or education & research. They may also pursue further studies leading towards advanced degrees such as Doctoral programs allowing them to become experts within their chosen field while making meaningful contributions towards gender justice and equality.
