The Postgraduate Diploma in Women, Violence and Conflict at the University of York provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the increasing prevalence of violence against women in conflict-affected contexts. The program covers a range of topics, from gender and power dynamics to international law to explore the varied causes and consequences of violence against women during times of war. Students will have the opportunity to develop an understanding of gender-based issues from an interdisciplinary perspective, drawing on insights from anthropology, sociology, psychology, economics, politics, and philosophy. The duration of the program is one year and is designed to be flexible with courses being offered in both full-time or part-time formats.
