Engineering BEng (Hons)

The Bachelor of Science in Engineering at the University of York is an interdisciplinary program that combines principles from mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering to develop solutions for a range of global challenges. The duration of the course is three years and provides students with a comprehensive understanding of core engineering fundamentals such as fluid mechanics, control systems, and materials science. Students will also have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through laboratory-based courses and industrial placements which will enable them to apply their knowledge to solve real-world problems. Graduates from this program are well prepared for careers across multiple industries including automotive, aerospace, energy, and healthcare. With a strong emphasis on research, graduates may also pursue further studies leading towards advanced degrees such as Masters or Doctoral programs in Engineering or related fields like Applied Mathematics or Physics allowing them to become experts within their chosen field while making meaningful contributions towards improving our world.
