The Master of Science in Digital Archaeology at the University of York is a unique and innovative program that combines the principles of archaeology with digital technology. This two-year degree provides students with a comprehensive education in archaeological research methods, such as fieldwork and laboratory data analysis, while also giving them the opportunity to develop their skills in the use of digital technologies including Geographic Information Systems (GIS), 3D modelling, and virtual reality applications. Graduates from this program will have the knowledge and capabilities to pursue careers in archaeology or cultural heritage management while making meaningful contributions towards preserving our past. With an emphasis on new technologies, graduates will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects such as virtual reconstructions of archaeological sites or developing augmented reality applications for public engagement. This program provides a unique opportunity for students to gain valuable skills that are highly sought after by employers both inside and outside of academia.
