The Computational Architecture Research Group is led by Professor Chris Harrison. Our research covers the development and understanding of programming languages and their applications to real-world problems. We are engaged in the design and development of the new programming languages, AQUA (www.aqua.org.uk) and GAVIN (www.gavin.org.uk), and the development of the infrastructure and tools that support them. We are also interested in the implementation of AQUA within a range of scientific problems, in particular its use for developing a novel web application for the exploration of protein structures.
