Physics with Nuclear Astrophysics

The University of Surrey is home to the Astrophysics Centre, the largest research centre for nuclear physics in the UK. The centre has an extensive research program, with world-leading expertise in all areas of astrophysics, including the solar atmosphere, the Sun's magnetic field and the cosmic ray physics of the heliosphere. The centre also carries out research in the field of particle physics, and is involved in the UK's contribution to the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) project.
