Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering

The Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering undergraduate program is the largest in the UK with over 500 students per year. We are home to a top 'world-leading' chemistry laboratory in Europe (CETAC) and our research facilities are among the most advanced in the world. We have a strong focus on interdisciplinary research within the university and our research centre is developing innovative approaches to addressing real world issues, such as fuel research, clean water research, and environmental remediation.
