French and History

The University of Stirling has a long and distinguished history of French studies and is one of the oldest foreign language departments in the UK. Students on our French and History course will study a wide range of French language and culture from a historical, sociological and linguistic perspective. They will also examine the cultural and intellectual traditions of France in the light of current debates about national identity.
