Italian and Classical Studies

The University of Reading offers a three-year undergraduate program in Italian and Classical Studies. This course is aimed at those with previous background in any foreign language who have an interest in the Classical world. The course provides an introduction to the history of the Ancient Roman Empire from its foundation to the collapse of the Western Empire in the 5th century AD and introduces the student to the Latin language in its original form and to the Latin tradition in literature, drama and art.
