English Language and Literature

The University of Reading offers a variety of undergraduate courses in English Language and Literature. These are taught at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The courses are designed to enhance the teaching of English and also help students develop their abilities in literary analysis, reading and writing. Students also benefit from the close links between the English Department and English Literature at St. John's College, within which the English Degree Program is based. St. John's College houses two other Departments: History and Archaeology, and Theology.
