Sociology and Health is a one year program and aims to offer a broad, interdisciplinary, contextual grounding in the sociological aspects of illness. We offer a foundation year which is designed to enable students to explore the social context of health care. The core of the program is a year-long module on Health and Sociology (which is either taught by the Department of Sociology or an affiliated Centre) and a year-long module on Health and Society.
