Philosophy (Including Placement Year)

The Philosophy course at the University of Essex is designed to enable students to develop skills in the understanding of philosophical issues, methods, and arguments. This is an introductory course to Philosophy, and its aims are to introduce students to the range of philosophical approaches, to develop the student's ability to think for themselves, and to encourage them to develop a critical stance to the world.
