Philosophy and Politics (Including Year Abroad)

The philosophy degree program at the University of Essex is a one-year full-time course delivered in partnership with the Open University. Its central theme is to offer students the opportunity to investigate the relationship between philosophy and politics, and to develop the necessary skills for a career in philosophy and/or politics. The program covers a variety of topics including philosophy of ethics, epistemology, logic, philosophy of language, logic of argumentation, philosophy of mind, philosophical anthropology and political philosophy.
