History with Human Rights (Including Foundation Year)

The history of international human rights is a key component of the Essex University History degree. The course, which is taught throughout the year, provides students with a comprehensive introduction to the historical aspects of the field, including the origins of human rights and the development of international human rights law. Students are also given the opportunity to participate in a number of events throughout the year as well as spending time in international and European Universities to gain a global perspective on the subject.
