Film Studies and Literature

The University of Essex offers degrees in Film Studies and Literature within the School of Arts & Humanities. In Film Studies, the BA (Hons) course is designed to introduce students to both academic and creative approaches to film, enabling them to gain a broad understanding of the medium including visual representation and technical aspects. The BA (Hons) in Literature aims to develop an appreciation of the English language through a study of classical and contemporary fiction and drama.
