Criminology and American Studies (United States) (Including Year Abroad)

With a long tradition of studying issues relating to crime, violence, law enforcement and policing in both the United States and the United Kingdom, the course explores the roots of crime and the ways in which crime control is carried out. It also provides insight into how Americans view crime, the media's role in shaping public perception of crime and the effect of crime on the individual and society.
