Primary Teaching (QTS)

The Department of Primary Education welcomes applications from teachers seeking an initial teaching qualification at degree level. The aim of the Primary Teaching (QTS) is to provide a basic structure which will equip the teacher for teaching effectively in the school. In addition to the essential skills of classroom management, subject knowledge, and the professional qualities of a good teacher, the course aims to ensure that the teacher understands the principles of learning and has the ability to motivate and support the child.
