We are proudly independent and not-for-profit, and offer courses in Allied Health, Business, Computing, Education, Humanities, Law, Medicine, Psychology, Security, and Intelligence. We are one of the few universities in the UK that offer September and January start dates for almost all of our courses.
Based in Buckingham on a riverside campus, we are only 20 minutes from Milton Keynes central station and a short drive from Bicester, Aylesbury, Banbury, and Northampton. There is free parking on-site and we are within easy reach of London and Oxford.
Our award-winning small class tutorials ensure every student is known by name and supported throughout their studies, including by dedicated personal tutors.
As pioneers of the two-year degree, we offer a condensed version of the traditional three-year degree, meaning you can gain a full honors degree and complete your studies a whole year earlier. Alternatively, you can complete both your undergraduate and master's degree with us in just three years: saving you time and money.
We also launched the UK's first private Medical School, which recently secured General Medical Council (GMC) accreditation. The GMC commended us for our excellent professional, academic and pastoral support that extends throughout the University and clinical learning environments.
The University of Buckingham is the oldest of the five private universities in England and is a non-profit institution located in Buckingham. Established in 1973, it was granted a Royal Charter in 1983 and became a registered charity in 2011. It has a strong ethos of independence and academic excellence and is well known for its two-year degree program which saves students time and money. It currently has a student population of 3300 from more than 70 countries, offering courses in law, languages, politics, economics, and life sciences, as well as postgraduate degrees in research and taught programs. The University has been led by a number of outstanding Vice-Chancellors throughout its history, and currently has six Chancellors which have all contributed to its success.
