Industrial Design (with Integrated Foundation Year)

Industrial Design (ID) is a broad and dynamic discipline that investigates the interaction between users, technologies, materials and processes in a range of applications. The core of ID is a thorough understanding of the interaction between a product and its users, leading to the design of a product that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The University for the Creative Arts (UCA) has strong established links with industry and academia, and graduates from this degree have a strong understanding of the needs of industry, which is reflected in the structure of the degree.
