The School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences is the largest of the five scientific schools at the University of Edinburgh. The School is a leading centre of geospatial analysis and research, with a reputation for innovative thinking and interdisciplinary research. Our students study a broad range of subjects, but share a common interest in how the Earth's surface is changing because of human activity - particularly in urban areas. You will have the opportunity to specialise in one or more of a wide range of topics across the School, including urban ecology, environmental impact assessment, social science and policy studies, and water resource and management.
