Islamic Studies

There is a world-class program in Islamic Studies at the University of Edinburgh. The program is unique in the UK. It is based on the study of Islam as it is, and how it impacts on society, and on the study of how Islam has developed and changed over time. The program is open to anyone who wishes to explore the history of Islamic Studies, the main religious and legal traditions of Islam, as well as the development of modern Islamic legal thinking.
