Celtic Studies

Celtic Studies is an optional degree to study alongside any other degree, and is a unique course, combining traditional and modern Celtic Studies with a range of other courses on Celtic Studies and the modern world. The first Celtic Studies Degree in the UK was offered at the University of Edinburgh in the late 1970s and the first PhD in Celtic Studies was awarded in 1983. The University of Edinburgh is one of the world's leading centres for Celtic Studies.
