Arabic and Persian

The Arabic and Persian Department, which was established in 1997, is located in the College of Humanities in the Faculty of Arts at The University of Edinburgh. The Department's teaching is based on the classical approach of the Middle East. The program focuses on the study of Arabic language and literature and Persian language and literature. It is a top department at the University offering the BA (Hons) degree (First Class).
