The Department of Applied Linguistics, based in the School of Philosophy, Religion and the Sciences, offers a full-time MA and PhD degree program. The MA in Applied Linguistics is a research-based degree program that will help you to develop a new and exciting area of academic research. This program is designed to assist you to research a wide range of areas that focus on the field of applied linguistics; including language teaching, language learning, language therapy, language and education, language and mental health, language and social inclusion and language and technology.
