The Swansea Institute of International Development (SIID) is a registered charity, based at Swansea University, founded in the 1960s, to pursue research and training activities for developing countries, principally in Africa, South and Central America, and Asia. Its research activity is funded by the University, the Welsh Government, the European Commission's Framework Programmes for Research and Training and the charitable foundations and individuals who support the work of the Institute.
