The Master of Physics is the most widely taught master's in the field of physics and astronomy. Students can choose to do a taught or research-based program. Some of the courses offered are: Astrophysics and Cosmology, Astrophysics, Cosmology and Quantum Gravity, Quantum Mechanics, Relativity and Cosmology, and Theoretical Physics. A taught course usually consists of a sequence of courses that are taught by a single supervisor. The University offers research-based courses with a group of students working on projects under the supervision of a supervisor, and are offered in collaboration with other departments within the University.
