The Renewable Energy Engineering MSc at Robert Gordon University (RGU) Aberdeen is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a specialist in the field of renewable energy engineering. This one-year program will provide you with an in-depth understanding of renewable energy technologies, their application, and associated environmental impacts. You will gain an appreciation of the challenges involved in the design and implementation of renewable energy systems, and will learn how to develop innovative solutions for these challenges. In addition, you will explore a range of topics such as energy economics, energy policy, and sustainability. Upon successful completion of this program, you will be well-positioned to pursue a career in the renewable energy industry.
Applicants normally hold a 2:2 undergraduate honours degree or its equivalent in Engineering or a relevant Science discipline.
Applicants with either a relevant non-Engineering background such as Geology, Physics, Chemistry or Mathematics and/or applicants with a lower degree classification or those with relevant work experience will be considered on a case by case basis.
Applicants are not usually interviewed, although some may be if they do not meet the standard entry requirements.
Applicants whose first language is not English should have an IELTS of 6.5 overall, with no component lower than 5.5, or an equivalent.
