The Law and Energy Law LLM at Robert Gordon University (RGU) Aberdeen is a one-year long program that will equip you with the knowledge and skills to become a successful lawyer in the energy sector. This program focuses on the legal aspects of energy law, including oil & gas law, renewable energy law, and environmental law. You will gain an in-depth understanding of the legal framework governing the energy sector, as well as the commercial and policy aspects of the industry. You will also learn about international energy trends, and have the opportunity to develop your research and analytical skills. This program will prepare you for a career in energy law, giving you the confidence to practice in this highly competitive and fast-paced sector.
Applicants will normally hold a a 2:2 undergraduate honours degree or its equivalent in any subject discipline.
Applicants with relevant work experience will be considered on a case by case basis.
Applicants whose first language is not English should have an IELTS of 6.5 overall, with no component lower than 5.5, or an equivalent.
