Are you interested in pursuing a career in the oil and gas industry? The Drilling and Well Engineering MSc at Robert Gordon University (RGU) Aberdeen offers you the opportunity to gain a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the engineering, operational and management aspects of drilling and well engineering. This one-year program provides a comprehensive overview of the latest technologies and practices used in the industry, as well as an understanding of the regulatory framework. You will gain hands-on experience with the latest software packages and learn how to apply them to real-world problems. You will also explore the principles of geology, reservoir engineering, drilling, completions, production operations, health and safety, and environmental management. With this knowledge, you will be equipped to pursue a successful career in drilling and well engineering.
Applicants normally hold a 2:2 undergraduate honours degree or its equivalent in Engineering.
Applicants with either a relevant non-Engineering background such as Geology, Physics, Chemistry or Mathematics and/or applicants with a lower degree classification or those with relevant work experience will be considered on a case by case basis
Applicants whose first language is not English should have an IELTS of 6.5 overall, with no component lower than 5.5, or an equivalent.
