The Curatorial Studies MA at Robert Gordon University (RGU) Aberdeen provides a comprehensive, one-year program that will equip students with the knowledge and skills to become successful curators. This program offers an exciting opportunity to explore the history and theory of curatorial practice, while also providing practical experience in the creation and management of exhibitions. Students will gain an understanding of the principles of curatorial practice, the history and theory of curatorial studies, and the legal and ethical issues associated with the role. The course also covers the development of exhibition design, planning and production, as well as the management of collections. Applicants will normally hold a 2:2 undergraduate honours degree or above in a relevant subject.
Applicants with a lower degree classification and/or relevant work experience will be considered on a case by case basis.
Applicants whose first language is not English should have an IELTS of 6.5 overall, with no component lower than 5.5, or an equivalent.
