Initiated in 2008, the Food Safety and Biotechnology MSc is the first of its kind in Ireland and Northern Ireland to be granted the approval of the Science Council of Ireland. The program is delivered through Queen's University Belfast and Belfast Metropolitan College, and is open to those who have a BSc (Hons) in Science or a related subject. The program equips students with a thorough understanding of the science and technology underpinning food production and safety, and of the principles and practices involved in the development and industrialisation of biotechnological processes.
