English and Film

MMU offers a top postgraduate course in English and Film Studies in the UK, and offers a top postgraduate course in British Literature at undergraduate level. All students undertake a comprehensive study of the history and theory of film, with emphasis on film studies and literary criticism. They are also taught the basics of film production, and have the opportunity to work on an independent project. The course will give the opportunity for you to gain an insight into and develop your skills in working in a professional production environment where creative freedom is possible; and where there is scope for independent research.
