This award is for the best writing course that I have ever been to. I have been to many writing workshops over the past three decades, but few have had such a powerful effect on me as this one did. It was so intense and yet so accessible. I think it's because the facilitators, the writers and the participants all seemed to care so much about the process of writing. They made it very easy to participate and to take risks. They kept things moving along and didn't let anything dangle. They made me think about my writing a lot, and they encouraged me to write in ways I'm not used to writing.
