This course explores the relationship between film and visual culture, their impact on society and their influence in the public imagination. You will explore a broad range of issues including: the nature and purpose of contemporary film, issues in the cinema and cultural representation; the history of the cinema and its influence on society and the visual culture; the relationship between film and television, and the cultural impact of video and digital media.
