Media and English

Leeds Beckett University is a new university which was formed in 2002 with the merger of Leeds Metropolitan University and the Leeds School of Arts and Media. The Media and English degree covers all aspects of the production of media in the English language, from journalism to film making, from digital to print. We offer a creative and dynamic learning environment, with a wide variety of opportunities for staff and undergraduates to work on real media projects. Our courses are taught by experienced practitioners and industry professionals who work in the media industry. Our graduates have taken on senior roles in film, broadcast, journalism and publishing. They go on to work in the creative media industries, and find careers in both the public and private sectors.
