Sociology (Placement Year)

The Sociology degree at Lancaster is one of the most popular courses, and many of our graduates go on to further study in this area. The degree is split across three years with an optional placement year in the final year. The program is designed to give you a thorough grounding in all aspects of sociology and sociological theory. You will develop skills in research and you will study both quantitative and qualitative approaches. You will be taught to understand the wider political, economic and cultural contexts of the discipline.
