Lancaster University was the first British University to offer psychology as a full-time research subject. There is currently no undergraduate psychology degree in the UK (see the British Psychological Society's guide to psychology). The BSc (Hons) Psychology program is a top undergraduate psychology degree in England. This degree is available for students who have completed an honours degree in a social science subject and who are not awarded their degree in the same subject. The course offers a broad range of subjects, but the core of the program will be in the area of experimental and applied psychology. This is a two year full-time program, with the first year being the year abroad.
