In sports, pushing the human body to its limits is a common practice in pursuit of excellence. However, this often results in injuries that can significantly impact an athlete's performance. At our university, we offer a sports therapy degree that equips you with the knowledge and skills to keep athletes in top condition and help them through the rehabilitation process after an injury.
Our sports therapy degree is accredited by The Society of Sports Therapists, which is a testament to the high standards of education we provide. After graduation, you'll be eligible for membership of The Society of Sports Therapists, which carries professional indemnity insurance.
As a student, you'll have access to excellent multipurpose facilities at the Department of Sport and Physical Activity, including specialist laboratories, dedicated sports therapy clinical areas, and bespoke rehabilitation and musculoskeletal suites. You'll also have access to football, rugby and hockey pitches, tennis courts, athletics track and field, a swimming pool, and a fitness suite. These facilities will be used as part of your study in our sports therapy degree.
Upon completing our program, you'll be able to plan and implement comprehensive rehabilitation programs, which will help athletes return to peak fitness and competitive sport. You'll also gain the satisfaction of knowing that you've made a difference in someone's life by helping them overcome their injury and achieve their athletic goals.
