Secondary Physical Education with QTS (11-16) PGCE

The PGCE Secondary Physical Education program is designed to prepare you for teaching physical education in secondary schools. With a related undergraduate degree, you'll focus on developing the skills you need to engage and motivate young people in this subject.

This program offers a combination of learning on campus and practical experience in the classroom, with 26 weeks of placement in school settings. You'll have the support and guidance of subject-specific tutors and school-based mentors to help you become the best teacher you can be.

You'll learn the most effective ways to deliver lessons and engage your students, while developing your understanding of subject-specific approaches, classroom management, adaptive teaching, and different learning styles. You'll also discover the benefits of movement on the body and mind and share your enthusiasm for physical education with your students.
