Primary Education with QTS PGCE

Upon successful completion of this program, you will be recommended for Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). This PGCE in Primary Education program aims to inspire young students and foster their love of learning through two professional placements, supported by school-based mentors and Edge Hill tutors who will monitor your progress.

You will receive support from experienced tutors and school professionals, who will help you develop your subject knowledge for teaching the primary national curriculum. In addition, you will learn creative approaches to teaching all primary school subjects and develop innovative ways to inspire lifelong learning.

This program also explores contemporary issues in primary education and allows you to choose a specific aspect of learning to investigate in-depth. The Primary Education PGCE can be studied at either the Ormskirk campus or Holy Cross College & University Centre in Bury.
