Law with Politics LLB (Hons)

This degree programme is designed for LLB students who have an interest in studying politics alongside their legal studies. The course aims to equip students with knowledge of national, European and international laws and institutions. By completing the academic stage of solicitor or barrister training, students will study all the key legal principles, doctrines and legal institutions that form the foundation of legal knowledge.

In addition, students will gain expertise in politics, political analysis and strategic political communications, which will further enhance their understanding of the law and its application. The programme also offers practical experience through the campus-based Pro-Bono Law Clinic where students can deliver legal advice under the supervision of solicitors or barristers. Furthermore, students can join the student Law Society, participate in competitions and attend networking events both on and off campus.
