Gain a comprehensive understanding of key legal principles and the institutions and systems that make up the civil and criminal justice systems with our law degree. Engage in critical analysis of legal developments, including new case law and legislation, by using media commentary and theory. Join the student Law Society to participate in competitions and networking events on and off-campus, and gain practical experience at our Pro-Bono Law Clinic, where you'll provide legal advice to the community under the supervision of qualified lecturing staff and local legal practitioners.
Additionally, you'll have opportunities to visit important legal institutions and engage in educational visits to courts such as the Old Bailey, the Supreme Court, and Parliament in London, the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, and the European Parliament and European Commission in Brussels. Finally, our on-campus courtroom provides the perfect environment to sharpen your problem-solving skills and legal analysis while acting out legal scenarios in a realistic courtroom setting.
