On the educational psychology degree, you will gain insights into the learning and development of children and young people through the lens of psychology and the human brain. Our course offers a comprehensive exploration of key psychological theories and their applications in an educational context. You will investigate the impact of conditions such as autism and ADHD on behavior, social interaction, and learning. You will delve into the fascinating functions of the brain, including memory, intelligence, personality, and individual differences, as well as the relationship between brain and behavior.

Through exploring the four key areas of psychology - social, developmental, biological, and cognitive - you will gain a deeper understanding of how thinking, language, and emotion enable us to process the world around us. Our course includes a work placement, allowing you to apply your knowledge and skills in a real-world setting, and to bring learning, teaching, and assessment strategies to life in schools or other educational contexts.
