The BA (Hons) in Education is a degree program that focuses on the study of education, teaching and learning. Students enrolled in this program will explore various aspects of education, including educational theory, pedagogy, curriculum design, and educational policy. The program aims to provide students with a strong foundation in the principles of education and how they can be applied in different contexts.
During the course of the program, students will develop their critical thinking, analytical and research skills, which they can apply to the study of education. Students will also learn about the different ways that education can be delivered, including online, in-person, and blended learning. Additionally, students will explore the role of education in society, including its impact on social and economic inequality, and how it can be used as a tool for social justice.
Graduates of the program will be prepared for a range of careers in education and related fields. These may include roles in teaching, educational administration, policy development, curriculum design, and educational research. Alternatively, students may choose to pursue further study at the postgraduate level, including a Master’s in Education or a PGCE, to become a qualified teacher.
